💚 Feeling a bit Goofy: A Goofy Disneybound 💚

Hello there friends,

The moment my family and I booked our first trip to Walt Disney World, I knew I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and put together some really cute outfits, or Disneybounds. While putting together these outfits, I found myself struggling to put together outfits for two parks, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. I found it hard to come up with ideas that fit the theme of Epcot until I started seeing some of the topiaries for the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. I ended up falling in love with the design of Goofy’s topiary for the 2025 festival and opted to take inspiration from that to create a cute Goofy-inspired Disneybound!

For this outfit, I wanted to take inspiration from the typical things you would see someone who was gardening wearing. So when I put together a mood board for this outfit, I found myself being drawn to overalls, florals and bucket hats, and I was pretty proud of how much the results of my mood board matched the overall aesthetic of the outfit. To start the process of putting together this outfit I went shopping into my closet looking for items that would match the colour palette of Goofy well still matching my mood board in my closet I ended up finding a Orange T-Shirt from Walmart that I was not a fan of, I felt that the shirt itself was boxy and that the neckline had stretched and warped over time. So I opted to DIY the shirt and cut off the collar of the shirt to make it an off-the-shoulder top. I felt that by cutting the shirt's neckline, not only would I make it more comfortable, but I also felt it would add a nice bit of asymmetry to the outfit, and I ended up loving the results.

One of the main things I really wanted to use in this outfit were overalls because not only did I feel they would have gone for the working in the garden look I was going for but I also felt that they would be a great way to add in another one of goofy’s main outfit colors of blue, into the look at the time I did not own any overalls that were not short so I ended up finding a pair that I fell in love with on amazon. Not only did this pair of overalls fit great, but they also came in the colour wash I was ideally looking for to go with this outfit. The last item I was on the hunt for in this outfit was accessories. I knew I ideally wanted a light green hat that could represent Goofy’s hat well, also serving as a bit of protection from the harsh Florida sun. I originally intended on making the hat so I could have used some of my fabric stash for the design but after procrastinating till the last minute I ended up deciding it wasn't worth the stress and finding a cute light green bucket hat on amazon for about the cost that it would have been to make a bucket hat from my fabric stash.

I absolutely loved the results of this Goofy-inspired Disneybound, and I loved the process of putting this look together! Goofy has always been one of my favourite Disney characters, and having the chance to finally put together a cute Disneybound of him made my heart so happy. Let me know in the comments here or on Instagram if you have ever put together a Disneybound, and if so, what character? But until next time, I hope you all have a magical day, and be kind to one another- Chloe’s Fandom Life
