Life Updates, Edmonton Expo 2025, Mandalorian and Grogu and the Future of Chloe's Fandom Creations

Hello There,

Well it's been a while and it's not for a lack of me wanting to write it's just been a lot has been happening again in my life. In the fall of 2025 I was diagnosed with a chronic illness that myself and my medical team have expected I had for a long time Fibromyalgia and it has unfortunately taken over my life between Doctor visits, Hospital trips and just exhaustion from my chronic illness and because of all this I haven't found the time or energy to share with you all really any of the cool opportunities I have gotten to experience or outfits I have been putting together for events, but now with convention season upon us and the release of Mandalorian and Grogu happening last month I have found myself with a backlog of posts dating back to September of 2025 that I have yet to share with you all. So I have decided its time to release the backlog of posts, photos and videos all in the upcoming month so expect to see some exciting convention posts, outfit inspo and vlog style content soon!

Edmonton Expo 2025

Back in September of 2025 I was invited by Edmonton Expo to attend their 3 day convention and experience everything from their amazing panels, artists alley and the amazing celebrity guests. I will be sharing my full experience of the convention and all its offerings in its own blog post that you can read here. But also with this convention I made my grand return to cosplaying at a convention as Sue Storm from Fantastic Four First Steps, I have yet to do actual proper photos in this costume but am making it a goal to do a proper in studio shoot by end of the summer so I can share actual photos with you all in a future blog post as well but until then here's a sneak peak of one of the photos I was able to grab at the convention!

Mandalorian and Grogu

Star Wars is officially back in theaters with the release of Mandalorian and Grogu, I originally had plans to come back to writing on my blog around the time of the release to share with you all a Grogu Inspired bound I had created along with my thoughts on the film but unfortunately my chronic pain has (and honestly still is) at one of my most painful flair ups to date so I never got the opportunity to shoot the bound with my partner but I still plan on doing so in the near future.

Warning I am about to share my full spoiler filled thoughts of The Mandalorian and Grogu below

Unlike a lot of fans I really enjoyed The Mandalorian and Grogu this film was a low stakes film that was fun to watch I found myself blown away with everything from the strong themes of learning from our parents and their mistakes and in turn choosing to not be like them, to the amazing Puppetry of Grogu and stop motion animation used during some scenes of the film.

Some of the stand outs of the film for me were Rotta the Hutt (STINKY!) I absolutely loved getting to see him as a baby in the hologram and seeing him grown-up with the mentality of choosing to not be like his dad or wanting anything to do with the hutt’s criminal syndicate. Well, still clearly looking for validation from people and later learning that what he thought was validation was just him being a source of entertainment for others but my favourite part of Rotta the Hutt was his connection with Grogu and the beauty of that stronger connection.

The other stand out for me was Anzellan’s who were in my opinion comedy gold with their hilarious one liners like “Big Pipe Huh” and “We thought you were Dead”. I loved their connection also with Grogu and Din because you could tell Din trusted them with Grogu and could see Grogu being taken care of by them. Something I also really enjoyed with the Azellan’s was their scale we saw with things like the size difference of their ship to the X-Wings. I really enjoyed seeing it because it added to the universe for me, showing not all ships or creatures in this galaxy are big, some of them are smaller but just as interesting as someone who really loves this universe and its variety of species and creatures.

The last stand out for me was all of the classic film techniques that were used in filming Mandalorian and Grogu from stop motion to classic puppetry I felt the clear love and care that was put in by the crew of this film and the aspirations to use these classical techniques over CGI was very much appreciated and loved by myself and so many of the audience members I was in my local theater with. I left Mandalorian and Grogu excited for the next stories of these characters along with the longing for my favourites like Bo Katan, The Armorer and Peli Motto to reappear to continue there stories with in this universe so I hope we find out if we will be getting a season four or future films sooner rather than later.
